Get ready for more warmth, humidity and rain this week around here. This is our first stretch of days with modest levels of humidity each day so far this season. As you get your Monday started, most will remain dry. However, there is a chance for a stray shower early in the day, especially across south central Indiana. By the afternoon, spotty showers and a few thunderstorms may fire up. Severe weather is not anticipated for today, but some downpours are possible.

After Saturday's heavy rain and flooding in spots throughout central Indiana, it's nice to say that won't be the case for Sunday! Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there. If you have any outdoor plans for celebrating, the weather, for the most part, will cooperate. But in typical midwest fashion, thanks to the humidity, I'm not ruling out a few showers in spots this afternoon. After the fog lifts this morning, skies will turn partly to mostly sunny for the majority of the day.

Thanks to a very slow-moving front, training thunderstorms prompted flooding in portions of Howard, Tipton and Boone Counties. The National Weather Service has issued Flash Flood Warnings for those locations into the early afternoon in the wake of these storms. These slow storms like thi cause flood prone and low-lying areas around here to run over. A majority of those pictures come to us from Kokomo. Specifically near the Wildcat Creek and Indian Heights areas.

We had some rain earlier this morning across central Indiana. Then, a solid break occurred in the afternoon before the radar got busier. The muggy dew points are here providing the fuel for these downpours. All of this activity will be scattered as not every hometown will see rain. Areas in north central Indiana, specifically Hamilton and Madison Counties have seen the downpours so far.

Thanks to the hazy skies, no high temperatures in the upper 80s today. Most spots were seasonable in the lower 80s. If you felt the air a little more outside on Thursday, you are indeed correct! Dew points are a bit higher than yesterday as southwest flow returns. This is the beginning of a stretch of mugginess. In turn, it will also increase our chances of rain heading into the weekend. Showers and storms underway to our south and west are on the move toward central Indiana.

Central Indiana stays DRY and a touch humid through 4-5 PM. At that time, rain chances increase with thunder and downpours possible. Tonight, it turns soggy with locally heavy rain in spots. Peak rain coverage will be this evening into the overnight hours. #INwx @FOX59 ⛈️ ⛈️ https://t.co/egQQHHAqe5

Good Saturday morning! The clear skies, calm winds, higher dew points and wet grounds are providing the ingredients for FOG in spots. Be aware of that as you start your day. Other than that, not a bad start but it's a touch muggy. #INwx @FOX59 https://t.co/RYxzoZaEUQ

Showers are moving through portions of central Indiana now. Less coverage north, more coverage south. Downpours and lightning are the biggest threats with any thunderstorm tonight. This will be the story throughout the evening. #INwx @FOX59 https://t.co/quWHCOo2O9
