At Meili, the new restaurant tucked into the Coda Hotel in Williamsburg, those oppositions hum in balance. It’s not a place that shouts for attention.

Midtown Manhattan is not where I go to be surprised. It’s where I go for function: a passable working lunch, mediocre midday coffee, and a predictable dinner. There are nice places, but many are large saccharine messes designed for client dinners and not a nice night out. So when I stepped into CHILI and found myself quickly transported to 1930s Sichuan, China, I was delightfully taken aback.

Royal fans have been left baffled after spotting “out of season” vegetables in Meghan Markle’s homegrown haul. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, posted a sweet pic showing her rescue beagle Mia giving a good sniff to a basket full of vibrant veggies said to be plucked from the grounds of her $AUD23million Montecito mansion. Captioning the shot on Instagram, Meghan joked: “The unofficial quality inspector of this morning’s garden haul,” referring to her inquisitive pup, who joined the Sussexes in 2022.

COPS have launched an urgent investigation after two superbike riders died in a "chain reaction" collision during a championship race. Owen Jenner, 21, and Shane Richardson, 29, were involved inthe horrific incidentwhich saw 11 riders fall on turn one of today's race at Oulton Park in Cheshire. The horror incident - caught live on TV - saw 11 riders fall at the first turn after one reportedly lost control and skidded across the tarmac into another competitor.

LABOUR are reportedly planning on "restricting visas" from certain nationalities "most likely to overstay" in the UK including Pakistanis and Nigerians. Applications for work and study visas from these nationalities among others could soon be curbed by the Home Office, according to The Times. The sweeping reforms are set to be unveiled in next week’s Immigration White Paper, which will lay out Sir Keir Starmer’s plan to slash net migration after it hit a record 728,000 last year.
