AN Iranian terror suspect who was arrested in the UK is reported to have "close connections" to the regime in Tehran. Five men, who are all Iranian nationals,were arrested on Saturdayon suspicion of plotting a terror attack on a "specific" UKtargetin one of the largest counter-terrorism operations for years. The suspects were seized in Swindon, westLondon, Stockport, Rochdale andManchester. They include two aged 29, one aged 24, one aged 40 and one aged 46 .

A HUGE 65ft sinkhole that forced families to evacuate could take months to fix due to a network of hidden tunnels, it is claimed. The picturesque village of Godstone in Surrey, was split in half by the 5ft deep trench, in what was described as "a scene from an earthquake" on February 17. The sinkhole emerged suddenly after a 12in water main burst and road above it collapsed.

SHOCKING footage shows the moment a cyclist smashed into a bus before flipping over the handlebars of her bike. The Lime bike rider, who appears to be a woman, was racing south down Shoreditch High Street in London at 7.45pm on Tuesday. Just before she moves alongside the stationary vehicle, the cyclist's attention diverts from the road as she waves at a pedestrian. Footage shows her travelling at speed before she clipped the side of a red double-decker bus with the number 47.

BRITS are looking forward to basking in more sunshine today after the hottest May day on record. The recentwarm spell has been the hottest start to the month since records began - and temperatures could go even higher. Brits flocked to parks and beaches across the UK yesterday tomake the most of the hot weather. A temperature of 29C was recorded at Kew Gardens, in South-West London on Thursday afternoon. The previous record for May Day was 27.4C recorded at Lossiemouth, Moray, on May 1, 1990.
