PAUL SCHOLES has opened up on the challenges of having a child with "severe special needs". The Manchester United legend's son Aiden, 20, was diagnosed with autism as a child and is non-verbal. During today's episode of The Overlap, Scholes was asked what has had the "biggest impact" on his life. In the show, which is yet to air, the former England star did not answer. But Scholes, 42, subsequently posted on Instagram to clarify his true feelings.

EMMA RADUCANU has admitted that she finds it difficult to trust, having been "burnt" since her remarkable US Open triumph. The British tennis star, 22, is in Rome and will take on Australia's Maya Joint in the first round of the Italian Open later today. Raducanu is again working with Mark Petchey in Italy, having reunited with the Andy Murray's former coach following a stint together in 2020.

PHIL BROWN has been sacked as Kidderminster Harriers boss. The National League North side confirmed the news in the wake of their playoff defeat to Chester on Monday. Kidderminster finished third in the sixth tier, three points behind title winners Brackley Town. A final day victory at Southport would have been Brown's men promoted as title winners. But a 1-0 defeat condemned them to the playoffs, going on lose 2-1 to Chester at Aggborough. Brown's men had taken a 19th minute lead via Kyle Morrison.
