An elderly man who fatally stabbed his wife by inflicting "76 sharp force injuries" has died. Francesco Dimasi, 93, was charged with murdering his 85-year-old wife, Maria Dimasi, at their Findon home on December 2, 2023. Mr Dimasi's lawyer, Trish Johnson, told South Australia's Supreme Court on Monday that her client had died. "As I understand it, your client has passed away?" Justice Sandi McDonald said. The mother of former Olympic cyclist Melissa Hoskins has told an Adelaide court she accepts her daughter's death was a "tragic accident". Ms Hoskins died when she was struck by a car driven by her husband and former professional cyclist, Rohan Dennis, in December 2023.
