The debate continues as year over year — and especially the in summer — the cove draws thousands of visitors in awe of the beautiful patch of sand along the west coast and the animals that call it home.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Local food rescue organizations like Feeding San Diego are now penning new contracts with food donors as a new law requires more donations of uneaten food. At the start of 2022, Tier 1 of Senate Bill 1383 required supermarkets across the state to participate by donating uneaten but edible food to rescue organizations before throwing it away.

SAN DIEGO — Scattered showers tapered off Friday making way for a mostly dry and mild start to the weekend before yet another strong winter storm is set to impact Southern California with heavy rain and gusty winds. For Saturday, expect a partly cloudy sky with the sun peeking through across most of the county. Temperatures will stay on the cooler side of average, so a jacket could still come in handy with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.

SAN DIEGO — On the heels of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and major flooding last week around San Diego County, residents are bracing for another series of Winter storms poised to hit Southern California starting on Thursday and continuing through next week. The first storm will arrive starting on Thursday morning, intensifying in the afternoon with an estimated 1 to 2 inches of rain expected to fall between late Thursday morning and early Friday afternoon.
