Sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected Sunday as temperatures get a slight boost by 1 or 2 degrees. Winds are looking very mild up and down the coast this weekend. Temperatures will be warming up to the high 60s on Sunday, pleasant weather for egg hunts, barbeques and outdoor celebrations.

Partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures continue Thursday. Temperatures will be below normal by about 3 to 6 degrees across the region. Rain chances are highest for Ventura County Thursday night, only expecting drizzle or brief light rain under 1/10th of an inch, with misting possible in Santa Barbara County, less likely in San Luis Obispo County. Friday our rain chances are lowering as a northeast system is keeping distance from our region.

Temperatures will be 4 to 8 degrees below normal near the coast and up to 15 degrees below normal inland on Wednesday, mostly in the mid 60s. A low pressure system southwest of us with onshore winds is creating the brisk and gloomy conditions for Wednesday, with a chance mist or drizzle in the morning.
Egg Hunt in Pismo Bech held for special needs children

PISMO BEACH, Calif. - Special needs children and their families hunted for eggs in Pismo Beach on Saturday. Thousands of eggs were scattered across Spyglass Park. 100 eggs were tied to helium balloons for those in wheelchairs to grab. The hunt was followed with carnival games, food and activities. The sensory-friendly annual egg hunt is hosted by Children's Resource and Referral of Santa Barbara County.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies. Strong onshore flow is brining the marine layer across coastal communities for the beginning of the work week. Night and early morning drizzle is possible Tuesday and Wednesday. A low pressure system will bring us a chance of light rain showers between Thursday night and Friday, only about 10%-20% chance of rain for under a quarter of an inch.

Inland temperatures will remain above normal, with coastal temperatures near normal. Onshore flow will be increasing this weekend. That will also bring low clouds farther inland from the coast line. Partly cloudy conditions expected on Saturday, with better clearing in the valleys.

High pressure is moving east away from California though that will keep us above normal and warm on Friday. We are going to start cooling down by a couple degrees. Gusty winds will pick up on the south coast Thursday evening and that pattern will repeat through Saturday. Onshore flow and low pressure increases this weekend causing a quick cooldown, back into the 60s. On Saturday we will have temperatures drops as big as 10 degrees in some areas.

Toasty temperatures continue Thursday with mostly sunny skies and weakening winds. Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Ventura and Lompoc will warm up to the high 70s while San Luis Obispo and Santa Ynez Valley will break into the low 80s. Some areas will see even warmer temperatures on Friday, like Santa Maria and Five Cities, while the rest of the region will see temperatures hold - staying just as warm as Thursday with little to no change. Our next major weather pattern shift is set for Saturday.

Early morning fog is expected along our coast but mostly clear skies prevail regionally by afternoon and winds picking up to about 15 mph.

Tuesday highs are in the low 70s for Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo and Ventura, nearing 80 in our local valleys. Coastal areas will likely get some fog early Tuesday but mostly clear skies will prevail across the region.
