It’s a big week ahead for girls lacrosse in the Mid-Penn Conference. A handful of teams are capping their regualr seasons, the deadline for District 3 power ratings is Tuesday and the Mid-Penn Championships between Cumberland Valley and Hershey is Wednesday at Landis Field. But before this week gets going, it’s time once again to recognize last week’s standout performances with PennLive’s girls lacrosse Player of the Week poll for the week ending May 10. Hershey’s Olivia Fox won last week’s poll.

CHAMBERSBURG — Mississippi State recruit Gabe Scott checked off nearly every box for the 100-meter dash last year. Mid-Penn Conference champion? Check. District 3 Class 3A crown? Check. But with a PIAA 3A silver medal for his signature sprint, the Central Dauphin phenom is bursting into his final varsity postseason with purpose. That much was evident on Saturday as Scott repeated as Mid-Penn champion in the 100-meter in 10.41 — a new top-10 time in Pennsylvania this spring.
