    CALEDONIA, Wis. — A two-vehicle crash on Northwestern Ave. in Caledonia left one man dead and another hospitalized Sunday around midday, according to the Caledonia Police Department (CPD). A 70-year-old man from Milwaukee was driving a black Mercedes SUV on Northwestern Ave. and suddenly crossed the center line of the road. A 62-year-old man from Racine in a black Dodge pickup truck towing a boat crashed into the Mercedes after it crossed the line, according to a post by CPD.

    JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. — A motorcyclist died in a crash on I-94 headed West in Jefferson County Sunday afternoon, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT). The Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP) responded to the crash at about 2:15 p.m. where the motorcyclist lost control and crashed on the interstate near Lake Mills near milepost 245.2. Severe injuries from the crash led to the death of the motorcyclist at the scene. The crash is under investigation by WSP.

    MILWAUKEE — Memorial Day is upon us and that means some government services will not be available for the day, like garbage collection and open office hours. The City of Milwaukee's Department of Public Works (DPW) is closed Monday. No garbage or recycling will be picked up Monday and the collection days will shift forward after the holiday, so expect pickup to come a day later.     MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Equal Rights Commission (ERC) will hold a hybrid public meeting to discuss the implementation and use of facial recognition technology by the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), according to a government notification. Time will be limited for public comment and the ERC is only allotting a total of 30 minutes for the citizens to weigh in. Each person who signs up must keep their comments under three minutes, according to the release.
