    While much of the talk ahead of the Tour de France will be on the favourites for GC, the sprinters also deserve some respect. About a third of the stages in this year’s race are expected to be fought out by the fastmen, with many of them piled into a flat first week through northern France. The sprinters also have a prize of their own to fight for in the green jersey.. There’s an added incentive for the sprinters this year as well.

    After a tense block of continental racing, attention turns to the UK for the race for the red, white and blue bands at the British National Road Race Championships. After two years spent in the northeast of England, the National Championships have moved to western Wales, with the coastal town of Aberystwyth set to be the event’s hub.

    The 2025 Tour de France is just around the corner. Now that the Dauphiné has drawn to a close and the men’s Tour de Suisse reaches its conclusion, the final preparations are being made ahead of the 112th edition of the Tour, which sets off from Lille on Saturday 5th July. All the stars are expected to line up at the start, with Tadej Pogačar, Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel among the three most-tipped riders for overall glory in Paris on Sunday 27th July.

    It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The Tour de France 2025 will start in Lille on Saturday 5th July and conclude with the (almost) familiar finale on the Champs-Élysées on Sunday 27th July. Tadej Pogačar will be there to defend his title, hoping to add a fourth yellow jersey to his collection. Alongside him, last year’s podium finishers Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel will return, as will Red-Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe leader Primož Roglič.

    The inaugural Copenhagen Sprint is not far away, with racing set to kick off in nearby Roskilde on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June. The race is the newest addition to the WorldTour calendar and will feature a men’s and women’s race across a cycling-filled weekend in the Danish capital. The women will get the first bite of the cherry on Saturday 21st June, with a 151km profile that’s almost entirely at sea level.
