When we think about adventure romance stories, there are a few stalwart examples that come to mind like The Princess Bride which is the perfect rom-com adventure. A few others are Stardust, both a novel by Neil Gaiman and a movie of the same name, the 90s The Mummy starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, and Romancing the Stone, an 80s movie that was popular in my household growing up because my mom loved it.

Loyalty Bookstores in Washington, D.C., and Silver Spring, Md., have launched an Indiegogo campaign with the goal of raising $60,000. Store owners Hannah Oliver Depp and Christine Bollow intend to use that money to create an emergency fund, pay down debts, launch a bookmobile, and especially to make changes at the Silver Spring store that will ensure staff and customer safety in the future.

"I'm always happy to talk about independent bookstores! Indie bookstores play two roles in my life. As a reader and consumer of books, independent bookstores are my refuge. When I was a child, my reading material always came from the library. We didn't have money to buy books, but I've been more than making up for that as an adult! I'm very fortunate to live in a state with excellent bookstores. My local bookstore, Pass Christian Books, is the center of my community. The owners are my good friends.
