SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Tattoo artists came from across Oklahoma to donate their ink and time to the 8th annual Stop the Hate 918 event. The artists set up shop at the Case Community Center in Sand Springs where they covered up any hateful, racist, or gang related tattoos for free. FOX23 spoke with the founder of Stop the Hate 918, Jamy Magee. He said he was surprised to see so many people standing outside the community center waiting to have their tattoos covered up.

SKIATOOK, Okla. — More than 60 dogs in Green Country now have a forever home. Skiatook paws and Claws Animal Rescue (SPACAR) collected more than 40 dogs from a recent breeder bust. All 43 rescued dogs were adopted before 4 p.m. today. Workers and volunteers at Skiatook Paws and Claws said it's a blessing. "We've been going up to a breeder shutdown situation in and bringing those dogs to find better homes down here," said Janelle Kingsley, Event Coordinator at Skiatook Paws and Claws.

TULSA, Okla. — Dove Schools hosted the third regional drone competition in Oklahoma in partnership with Robotic Education and Competition (REC) and Oral Roberts University. The students who participated in the competition all have a passion for technology and teamwork. Antonio Ortega, a student at Dove Middle School Science Academy South in Oklahoma City, said joining the drone team was something that happened organically.

TULSA, Okla. — We're still in flu season as cases continue to increase across the country and here in Green Country. In a recent report by the Walgreens Boots Alliance, Oklahoma was found to have the highest number of flu cases. “The total that we have seen so far this season is 656 hospitalizations and 12 deaths,” said Madison Thomas, epidemiologist for the Tulsa Health Department.
