Published 5:10 pm Tuesday, April 15, 2025 Monday afternoon, Dallas County Commissioners partnered with Dallas County Sheriff Michael Granthum in their monthly scheduled meeting to recognize one of his deputies for his bravery and courageous effort in the Summerfield tragic shooting that took place on Friday, March 21. The shooting left one elderly resident dead and still today, many others involved are recovering.

Published 2:23 pm Monday, April 14, 2025 Early Saturday, the City of Valley Grande kicked off their annual Easter hunt at the city’s ballfield catered to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to provide families within the community a day of togetherness. The annual event started at 11 a.m. with various games like cornhole and “Go Fish,” and there was also a small basketball goal at the event where kids could also have more interactive fun as well.
