SWAT: The final round of 13th Snow Jeep Race was held in Kalam on Sunday with thrilling performances on the snow-laden tracks. The event that started on Saturday was organised by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) in collaboration with the Frontier 4x4 Club, Upper Swat Development Authority, and Pakistan Army. According to the organisers, the event aimed to highlight Kalam as a prime winter tourism destination in the country.

SWAT: Security officials on Tuesday rejected as ‘misleading’ the concerns by a local jirga regarding the possible expansion of the cantonment in Swat, and clarified that a survey currently underway was a routine matter to ensure that maps reflected the latest ground realities. The clarification was issued in a statement after residents of 13 villages held a jirga at the Dherai ground in Kabal tehsil on Sunday, where they refused to provide their land for what said expansion of the cantonment.

SWAT: The residents of 13 villages in Kabal tehsil declared here on Sunday that they would not give any portion of their land for the planned extension of cantonment. They pledged to resist any such attempt by the government. They took the decision in a jirga, convened by elders and organised by local social organisation Sama Laar.
