    A 70-year-old Irish woman has been arrested in the occupied West Bank and is currently detained in Israel fighting a deportation order. Deirdre 'D' Murphy is originally from Douglas in Cork but is now based in Swansea in Wales. She is volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), an activist group helping Palestinian residents in the occupied West Bank.

    Caroline Kennedy, daughter of former US President John F Kennedy, has sent a scathing letter about her cousin Robert F Kennedy Jr to US senators, ahead of his senate confirmation hearing tomorrow. She said he was completely unqualified to be Secretary of Health, called him a "predator" and said his anti-vaccine rhetoric has cost many lives. RFK Jr ran for president but dropped out and endorsed Donald Trump, who has now nominated him to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.

"I feel very badly for those people. But he should never have let that war start. That war is a loser," he went on to tell podcast host Patrick Bet-David. The war was of course started by a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
