Argentine race driver Franco Colapinto concluded a disappointing Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, finishing 15th in Barcelona. The 22-year-old was hopeful of an improvement to his fortunes in his Formula 1 return, at a track he’s familiar with, but the man from Pilar was stuck at the back of the grid for most of the race. Colapinto went into the race on the back of a gut-wrenching qualifying, where he had looked set for a first foray into Q2 as an Alpine F1 driver.

Argentine football club San Lorenzo announced on Friday that head coach Miguel Ángel Russo was departing, amid rumors of a move to Boca Juniors. “San Lorenzo and [Russo] have come to an agreement to conclude the link between them, which was set to run until December 31, 2025,” the club confirmed via their X account. The club added that while the contract is now settled, Russo had already bid farewell to the first team players on Tuesday and “unilaterally” left his position.
