According to a recent update posted on their website earlier this week, the Best Country Album category has been split into two categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Contemporary Country Album.

News broke this past weekend that the 32 year old son of the 55 year old Grammy nominated singer succumbed to his battle with cancer. The news was confirmed by both the singer’s ex wife Julie McKnight and brother Claude McKnight. Niko had been a musician and photographer in his own right.
