Rainfall records have been broken in the Northern Territory, as a north-west cloud band sweeps across the outback. According to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), the biggest falls were near town of Katherine, including at the Tindal RAAF base, which received 179 millimetres in just 24 hours.
