A collaboration between West Midlands restaurateur Tom Shepherd and Marston’s would appear to have all the best ingredients for success. Tom runs the celebrated Upstairs restaurant in Lichfield and won the BBC’s Great British Menu main course round - with his Desperate Dan’s Cow Pie.

A drug dealer has been jailed after he was arrested by West Midlands Police Operation Fearless officers in Birmingham. Kenyjah James, aged 25, was sentenced to four years in prison when appeared at Birmingham Crown Court last Thursday (April 10). He had pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing Class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin, with intent to supply.

William, Prince of Wales was seen looking concerned in the stands as his side went down by two goals in the first half. But after a spirited comeback, he was pictured on his feet punching the air when Ezri Konsa scored the third of Aston Villa’s goals, keeping semi-final hopes alive for a moment longer at Villa Park on Tuesday night. George wore his claret and blue scarf and was seen waving his arms in celebration with his father after the goals, both cheering and clapping for the Birmingham side.
