Fitzy Mo PeñaWhere do you live? Braintree (but originally from Quincy, baby)What position you would play? Considering I throw lefty, bat righty, and can’t hit for any power...probably left field? Maybe they’d just hide me there? I wouldn’t be a very valuable asset, if we’re being frank. Who is your all-time favorite player? It’s David Ortiz, just because of all the memories he’s given us, but honorable mentions go to Nomar and Dustin Pedroia. When can we read you and what are you going to write about?

Photo by Billie Weiss/Boston Red Sox/Getty Images When the Red Sox announced that their official winter event — the annual meet-up of fans, coaches, and players of yesterday, today, and tomorrow — would take place right at Fenway Park on January 11, the response was tepid. I’m speaking anecdotally here, but it makes sense given that folks had just about a month to prep for the event (Fenway Fest was officially unveiled on December 9), and the announcement’s details were a bit sparse.

This week, an auction house put a number of items of Red Sox memorabilia owned by the late Larry Lucchino up for bid. Some of them are expensive and amazing (as in, this actual World Series trophy, which went for $61,000). Some of them are . . . something else. Here’s what the OTM crew would buy if we had enough money to own a AAA team. “Wishing you a Fab 2011” Fenway Sports Group Poster Sometimes I’m glad billionaires don’t have anyone to tell them no.
