Fraher Field was rocking and roaring in the last quarter as the Waterford minor hurlers finished like a train to set up a Munster final with Cork on May 16. The sides were level nine times before Cormac Spain's long range free bounced into the back of the Clare net five minutes from the end. Late points from Spain and substitutes Caoilinn Reville and Pierce Quann raised the volume levels even higher. 1-6 without reply sent the Déise through to their first provincial decider since 2021.

Goals in either half from Fred Hegarty and James Organ fired Clare to their first win of the Munster Under 20 championship on a bright and breezy Wednesday evening in Dungarvan. In the 59th minute, the substitute went to ground under two challenges in front of goal but referee Niall Quinn instead signalled a free out for over carrying. The Waterford side lost the free count 11-3 in the first half with one of the Rathgormack water carriers receiving a yellow card for his protests.

Rathgormack players fell to their knees at the final whistle on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon in Dungarvan as they agonisingly missed out on their first Munster club final appearance. A big second half save from Shane Murphy and four points apiece from Micheál Burns and Tony Brosnan saw Dr Crokes progress to the provincial showpiece on December 8. Driven on by James Power and Willie Hahessy, the back to back Waterford champions rattled the eight-time Munster winners in the second half.
