The identity of a driver who caused a horrific smash that killed four people in Perth on Monday has been revealed, as the Premier flagged more “disturbing” details would come from an investigation into the highway catastrophe. Rabin Rawal deliberately drove down the wrong side of Leach Hwy before slamming head-on into a taxi near Abernethy Rd in Cloverdale, killing himself and three others, about 3.40am. A young man who performed a burnout tribute on the same road where his mate was killed in a car crash has been fined and disqualified from driving. Dylan Sharpe, 22, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and having no authority to drive, having been charged in November over the crash-site hooning stunt in Oakford, in Perth’s southeast. Two men have been rescued from a burning vessel that caught fire about a kilometre from one of Perth’s most popular beaches. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Marine Rescue and Water Police were alerted to the situation off Cottesloe Beach just before 8.30am on Monday. The two men were rescued by police and taken back to shore. Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today St John Ambulance paramedics were called but were not required in the end.
