Sheridan's Ty Gilbertson had a superlative effort in Saturday's Shrine Bowl in Casper, as he kicked two field goals for the North team, along with three extra points, and had a 73-yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to help his team to a 34-28 win over the South. Gilbertson ended the first half with a 51-yard field goal, which set a Shrine Bowl record. After a lengthy weather delay, he reeled off a 73-yard run for a touchdown, giving his team a 34-21 lead.

The 49th annual Wyoming-Montana Boys Basketball All-Star games wasn't a very pleasant experience for the Wyoming guys in 2025. One year after breaking a 22-game losing streak in the series, Wyoming had its hands full with Montana as the neighbors to the north posted victories on Friday in Gillette and Saturday in Billings. In Friday's game, Team Wyoming had a rough first half with turnovers and missed free throws, and never recovered.

The Wyoming-Montana Girls All-Star Basketball series resumed over the weekend with the first leg in Gillette on Friday and the 2nd leg in Billings. The Wyoming Girls team had gone 16 games without a win in the series, and finally posted a win in the series with an 81-75 win in Billings on Saturday. Wins by the Wyoming girls have been rare in Billings, but Elyn Bowers of Pinedale had a solid game with defensive stops, big free throws (in fact, 9 of 10 down the stretch), and 21 points.

The College National Finals Rodeo got off to a rousing start on Sunday in Casper with two sessions of the Bulls, Broncs, and Breakaway. The top 2 teams and the top 4 individuals from each of the regions nationwide earned a spot in the Finals. From the Central Rocky Mountain Region, the University of Wyoming and the Casper College men qualified as a team, while Gillette College and UW were the women's team qualifiers.

The annual Shrine Bowl All-Star Football game in Casper on Saturday turned out to be a very competitive game with the North building a 20-point lead and holding to beat the South 34-28. The North now leads the series 28-20-3 with Powell's Keona Wisniewski named the Defensive Player of the Game and Smith McClure of Star Valley named the Offensive Player of the Game.
