What is currently known about this topic? ○ In laboratory settings, simulation-based learning with adaptive feedback can yield significant benefits for learning complex reasoning skills, such as preservice teachers' diagnostic reasoning, compared with simulation-based learning with static feedback. ○ Compared with static feedback, adaptive feedback enhances diagnostic justification skills but not diagnostic judgement skills in a digital simulation.
