    A couple of days ago Trump let loose a rant on Truth Social that was exceptionally demented. It’s worth it to take a moment and examine just how loony toons this shit truly is. Yet again, Trump is floating his “stolen election” theories that the only reason he lost in 2020, and that he generally loses in California, Illinois and New York, is because of Undocumented Immigrants who are voting. It is illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal or state elections in the United States.

    I’m from LA. Born and Bred, however, I don’t live their right now. I have a good friend, Rocky Torres, who does still live there who is from the Boyle Heights Community. He’s Latino, second-generation Mexican and he called me up at 1:51 am last night to talk. It was a wide-ranging 2.5-hour discussion that started with what going on today in Downtown LA with ICE and the National Guard and ranged back to Cortez, Columbus and the Conquistadors delivering diseased blankets to the indigenous.

    This discussion was had today on CNN. During a discussion on CNN's "Table for Five" over the Donald Trump administration's use of antisemitism as a pretext to continue his assault on higher education, Jones and Jennings went back and forth on the president's plans to punish California for ignoring his executive orders. That led Jones to comment, "How do you, as the president, target an entire state because you disagree with two things that happened there.

    Name calling is disrespectful. That’s not a difficult concept to absorb. Calling someone a name, insulting them is not a way to win them to your side of the argument or even to be able to effectively communicate with them. We are told this constantly. We are constantly berated with the idea that we need to moderate our behavior and seek to appeal nicely to the MAGAs because that’s the only way we’ll be able to bring people over to our side and win electorally.
