Well, as of last semester, LSU seniors Alex Hicks and Rachel Odom teamed up to host a female flag football game in association with Refuge, a college ministry on campus affiliated with The Chapel. Hicks - a member of the ministry's leadership team - described last semester's game as a trial run, where at least 25 women competed against each other, with male students acting as coaches.

The Tigers are back in Baton Rouge this Friday for the Battle on the Bayou after spiking a winning weekend on the sand at the FSU Unconquered Invitational. No. 10 LSU travelled to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete against some of the top AVCA teams last weekend. It returns home with three wins, adding to its record, now standing at 19-10.

LSU gymnastics fought for a top place in the Fort Worth, Texas, NCAA Regional Final and went home with a shot at another national championship with a 198.050 top score. The Tigers kicked off the first rotation on the uneven bars, where all-around freshman Lexi Zeiss led the competition off with a solid 9.925. Uneven bar scores ranged from 9.850 to 9.875 from each gymnast with the exception of all-around graduate student Haleigh Bryant and freshman Kailin Chio, who stuck matching 9.900s.

A half-and-half matchup: that's what LSU's beach volleyball team saw at the Death Volley Invitational last weekend as it battled against USC, UCLA, Long Beach State and Stanford. Stretching over March 28 and 29, the Tigers worked hard in what proved to be a familiar win-loss pattern in line with the East versus West competition. "Today is a day that our team grew up a little bit," said LSU head coach Russell Brock after the first day of the invitational.
