SURPRISE, Ariz. — A West Valley couple used a sign to bring attention to a dangerous road in their neighborhood, and it worked. The City of Surprise is fixing a road that the homeowners say has caused several life-threatening crashes over the past 20 years. “We’ve been pretty terrified for a while,” Ryan Langohr, the homeowner, said. Ryan and Melissa Langohr used the sign to cover a hole in their fence caused by a recent crash off Northwest Ranch Parkway.

PHOENIX — No one will face charges for the death of an Ahwatukee teen, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. Phoenix Police recommended charging a 14-year-old boy with second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing and killing 15-year-old Jaylen Reeves last November. Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell declined to prosecute. She said the boy accused of stabbing Reeves may have a strong case for self-defense, which she said her prosecutors likely couldn't disprove in court.

PEORIA, Ariz. — A Valley woman is fighting for her life after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in a head-on crash on Mother's Day. “I would trade places with her 100 times over and over. I would for sure in a heartbeat take her spot right now so she didn’t have to go through that," Brian Salinas, her boyfriend, said.
