MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Mercer County families are invited to take advantage of the free monthly car seat safety check on May 27. From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Fire Company, parents, grandparents, and caregivers can have their child’s car seat inspected by certified officers from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office. The inspection will cover installation, seat appropriateness, and proper harnessing. Officers will also offer advice on keeping children safe while traveling.

The fundraiser will run from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Moe’s located at 1309 Route 33 in Trenton. Patrons who present a flyer—either digital or printed—when ordering in-store for dine-in or takeout will have 25% of their purchase donated to the PTSA.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — The Mercer County Italian American Festival Association (MCIAFA) celebrated academic excellence and cultural heritage at its annual scholarship dinner on May 12 at Leonardo’s Restaurant. The evening honored four local students — Alessandra Santoro, Ava Longo, Lucia Dabbene and Gianna D’Errico — who each received a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their academic achievements and connection to Italian culture.
