    URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) —  Teachers work day in and day out preparing the leaders of tomorrow. In Urbana, some have to do that differently for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. During Teacher Appreciation Week, Carle Auditory Oral School staff are thanking the people behind the students’ progress — who help kids ages 3 to third grade communicate orally, rather than with sign language.

The team at Danville Area Community College won their fourth national title in just three years. Head Coach Guido Esteves said what the four-person team lacks in numbers, they make up for in dedication to the game. The most recent win was in Mario Kart 4v4, but the team also plays Rocket League, Smash Brothers and more.

    DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) —  A person is banned from Danville Area Community College after police said they watched children changing from a dressing room camera. It happened last month during Spotlight Performing Arts’ showings of Alice in Wonderland. The third-party security guard’s actions were flagged as suspicious and reported to DACC officials.
