FAIRFIELD, NJ – Fairfield Mayor William Galese and Police Chief Anthony Manna reported the passing of former Fairfield Special Police Officer Nicholas Sierchio on May 12. Sierchio served the township for over 38 years. He was a special police officer, court security officer and township emergency management coordinator. At the May 19 council meeting, the governing body passed two ordinances. The first authorizes the township’s conveyance of the property of 9 Bodkin Road.
