    Jointly hosted by Kingsclere Village Club and Kingsclere Local History Association, the event featured a Kingsclere in WWII exhibition with 16 displays, including the Invasion Committee, YMCA Canteen, and Home Guard. Visitors enjoyed a collection of locally found artefacts, photographs, and scrapbooks from the village archives. The displays proved popular, with some visitors spending hours exploring. The event also provided a chance for old friends to reconnect.

    11 1/1 LIKE many local groups, Kingsclere Local History Association - founded in 2000 as the Kingsclere Heritage Association and renamed in 2021 - has over the years collected many photographs of the village, some of them extremely rare, and even unique. Kingsclere first appears in the record in the will of Alfred the Great, but was first occupied long before. Under Edward the Confessor it formed part of the farm of Basingstoke.
