JOHN NELMS reckons Rangers don’t want Lyall Cameron’s move to turn into another Connor Barron-type saga. Dundee midfielder Cameron has penned a pre-contract to move to Ibrox at the end of the season. Both clubs must agree a fee to cover compensation for the 22-year-old star, or have the matter settled by an SFA panel. In December, Gers were ordered to pay £600,000 to Aberdeen after Connor Barron joined in a similar arrangement last season.

RANGERS were Ibrox flops once again at the weekend as they suffered their FIFTH home defeat on the bounce. The 2-0 loss to Hibs has left dark clouds hanging over Govan, but Lee McCulloch can feel something special in the air when it comes to European nights. Next up for Barry Ferguson’s side is a Europa League quarter-final and Thursday’s visit of Spanish giants Athletic Bilbao. The form book suggests the side currently fourth in La Liga should be far too strong for Gers.

MARTIN BAKOLE was so tired for his fight with Joseph Parker he kept falling asleep in the dressing room before it. But he reckons his defeat in Riyadh will turn out to be a wake-up call for the whole heavyweight division. Scotland-based Bakole agreed to stand in with just 24 hours’ notice for the fight back in February after Daniel Dubois fell ill.
