    PINEDALE, Wyo. — It has been nearly a full week since the Horse Fire was first reported, and National Forest Service personnel report that the lightning-caused fire is still raging on. Fire danger for the entirety of the Bridger-Teton area has been elevated to moderate. According to the most recent update published on the Bridger-Teton National Forest Facebook page, the fire is now burning upwards of 1,465 acres in dry and timber-heavy areas.

    CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Hot southwest wind will bring warm and dry conditions to the Cheyenne area over the next couple of days, with more seasonable temperatures returning around Monday. This Juneteenth will see temps rise up to 89 degrees. A warm, 5–10 mph wind will be coming from the south. Temps will fall to a low of 58 later this evening, as winds only shift slightly to the southwest and retain a similar strength. Southwestern winds will pick up to 20–25 mph Friday as Cheyenne warms up even further.

    CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Following a series of stormy days that culminated in a severely stormy Tuesday, which also happened to produce tornadoes west of town towards Laramie, Cheyenne is in for a few days of warming and drying. Today will start that warming trend with a high near 79 degrees. Winds come from the northwest at 5–10 mph before shifting southwest. Today will be very sunny as well.

    MARBLETON, Wyo. — A Wyoming resident was the sole victim of a belly dump trailer rollover on a Sublette County highway yesterday. According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the driver overcorrected himself into a rollover and then into an embankment. The man was identified as 37-year-old Wyoming resident Dale Simkin.

    CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Today has the possibility of being very stormy in the afternoon, with a warming and drying trend to take hold of the region starting tomorrow. Today will see a high near 68 degrees. Clouds will take hold of the skies and give the area more precipitation in the afternoon, with the National Weather Service station here in Cheyenne warning that afternoon storms could be stronger than normal. Rainfall amounts will stack up to between a quarter and a half of an inch.
