Another Clemson transfer has found his next college home. Former Duke and Clemson center Christian Reeves has committed to Charleston, he announced via social media Wednesday. Reeves played in 29 games for the Tigers as a redshirt sophomore this past season, making one start. The 7-foot-2, 253-pounder averaged 1.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 5.1 minutes per game while shooting 50 percent (12-of-24) from the field and 75 percent (12-of-16) from the free-throw line.

The Green Bay Packers brought in Isaiah Simmons on a free agent visit, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. Simmons, a versatile linebacker, has spent the last two seasons playing for the New York Giants. The 6-foot-4, 238-pounder was traded to New York from the Arizona Cardinals prior to the 2023 season and then re-signed with the Giants as an unrestricted free agent last offseason.

A former Clemson and Alabama assistant coach, Bill Oliver, has passed away at the age of 85, according to multiple reports Monday. Oliver coached at Clemson from 1986–89. He was Clemson’s defensive coordinator in 1989 and served as defensive backs coach the other years. Oliver was part of Clemson’s three straight ACC Championship teams from 1986-88. In 1989, he was the defensive coordinator for a defense that featured Levon Kirkland, Ashley Sheppard, Chester McGlockton, James Trapp and Ed McDaniel.

A former Clemson men’s basketball player has found his new college home. Asa Thomas announced his commitment to a SoCon school – Furman – on Monday. Last month, Thomas became the first Clemson player to enter his name into the transfer portal after the Tigers’ season ended in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward redshirted in 2023-’24, then missed most of this past season due to injury.
