Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders yesterday resolved to reorganise the platform  and fortify its structures ahead of 2027 general election. To prevent further escalation of the protracted crisis, the party set up a seven-man reconciliation committee headed by former Senate President Bukola Saraki to chart the path of peace. The committee is mandated to organise a hitch-free National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on May 27.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike confirmed yesterday that suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara visited him to seek a truce. He said Fubara was in company with two All Progressives Congress(APC) governors and an elder statesman. Although, he did not give the names, the governors are believed to be Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru.

Minister says he’s happy to be identified with PresidentThe Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will unveil completed infrastructure projects within a two-week period to celebrate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second anniversary. FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike disclosed this in Abuja yesterday  while briefing reporters shortly after inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects in the Abuja city center. The former Rivers State governor said only the blind will accuse Tinubu of non-performance.
