    Moncreiffe Primary School celebrated it’s 30th birthday with an ‘open school’ evening. Moncreiffe Primary School officially turned 30 on Monday 24 March. The school hosted a ‘journey through Moncreiffe’s history and school tour’ to mark the occasion. As part of the big birthday celebrations, families of present and past pupils were invited along. Each class had prepared a display for the event that captured life across a 5 year period of the school’s history.

    Autumn has fully settled in, and our photographers have been busy capturing the beautiful scenes across Perthshire, Fife and Angus. Rural Perthshire is ablaze with vibrant reds, golds and yellows, creating a stunning landscape of colour. In Dunfermline, children play in the leaves and squirrels are busily preparing for winter. Dog walkers enjoy the crunch of fallen leaves under foot in Monikie Park, Angus.

    More than 300 members of Girlguiding Dundee descended on the Caird Park for Adventure on your Doorstep. Members of the Girl Guides ranging in age from four to 16 took part in the activity day, which featured stations involving circus skills, rock climbing and arts and crafts. Members of the rainbows, brownies and guides battled through torrential rain to make it to the centre and had turns doing activities at eight different stations.

    Families have been making the most of the beautiful spring sunshine and warmer temperatures this weekend. Slessor Gardens and Dundee’s waterfront were busy as temperatures reached 18C. Families gathered on the beaches at Broughty Ferry and Arbroath to paddle and play in the sand. Meanwhile in St Andrews, West Sands was a hive of activity with sporting events and locals enjoying a day in the sun.

    The University of Stirling’s Dumyat Hill Race took place on Wednesday evening. The challenging race, described by the University of Stirling as it’s ‘flagship running event’, took place in the university campus for the 49th time. The Dumyat Hill Race also doubles as the Scottish Student Sport Hill Running Championship and Scottish Hill Running Race.
