    Having won the final home game of her college basketball career, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior guard Sigrun Olafsdottir walked into the crowd at McKenzie Arena on Saturday night and handed out hugs to Mocs fans. This season hasn’t gone quite to plan, starting with injuries last fall to key teammates and including the disappointment of an overtime loss to UNC Greensboro earlier this month in the SoCon championship game.

    Of course the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team would rather be playing in the NCAA tournament. Although not the sole reason, earning a spot in the 68-team field for March Madness was a primary purpose for putting together this transfer-heavy roster that made the Mocs one of the better mid-major programs in the country this season.

If I was a mid major going forward, this would be my stance on all portal exits to high majors. You recruited them. You developed them. The HM simply highlighted what you already saw, recruited and developed. Take more credit for that.
