Hong Kong Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui has suggested an electronic ticketing system could work for mega events after two mix-ups from ticket vendor Cityline. Earlier this week, Cityline was ordered by Hong Kong authorities to act quickly around ticket printing errors ahead of Coldplay’s shows at the brand new Kai Tak Stadium.

Cultural sector advocate Kunsten ’92 is encouraging local political parties in the Netherlands to include policies in their election programmes that would benefit the industry. The Dutch organisation has made the call prior to the municipal elections which are set to take place on March 18 next year. “From a broad coalition, we jointly call on local parties to recognise the importance of culture in their election programmes,” read a Kunsten ’92 statement.

Events concierge company Confirmed360 has been acquired by South Korean-founded entertainment giant HYBE. Confirmed360 claims to have provided more than 100,000 experiences in over 40 countries over the past decade. Music Business Worldwide first reported thatHYBE now owns a majority stake in the Santa Monica-based business.
