This was followed by delays caused by roadworks with 27%.

Data released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) shows a 1.8% increase in van use in 2024, bringing the total to 5,102,180 units. This growth means that over one million new vans have been added to UK roads since 2015.

Kia and LG Electronics have announced a partnership to collaborate on mobility space solutions, starting with their new van. The PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) range, which will launch later this year with the new Kia PV5 van, will be the base for a new mobile work and recreational spaces, incorporating home appliances from the electronics giant. The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, in Goyang, South Korea.
