May 28, 2025Long awaited changes to driving licence regulations for electric vans are due to come into force from 10 June 2025. The government has confirmed the amendments which will see Category B drivers able to drive higher gross vehicle weight battery electric vans. New legislation will allow holders of a Category B driving licence to operate fully electric van or hydrogen-powered van with a maximum authorised mass (or gross vehicle weight) of up to 4.25 tonnes.

May 28, 2025Antonio Filosa will be the new Chief Executive Officer of Stellantis, replacing Carlos Tavares who stepped down last year. Stellantis has announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously selected Filosa as its new CEO following a thorough search process for both internal and external candidates. The search was undertaken by a Special Committee of the Board, led by executive chairman John Elkann.

May 27, 2025Kia UK has announced its locations and partners for the new network of national PBV Centres that will support its new range of electric vans. An initial list of 61 locations covering a broad area of the country, including several well-known dealers, will be the exclusive sales and after sales service centres for the PBV commercial vehicle range.

This year Kia is making its first commercial vehicles for sale outside of its domestic market, but although they've gone to great lengths to create a new Kia EV van, there's plenty of scope for making LCVs out of their current range. The world might be eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Kia PV5 Cargo and Kia PV5 Passenger vans - not to mention the Kia PV7 and Kia PV9 coming futher down the line, but we reckon these are some models that should get a look-in.

Scania dealer Keltruck's Newark team have made it through to the Top Team European finals after being crowned the Top Team 2025 UK winners. The next stage of the competition will be hosted in Verona, Italy in September. Dubbed the ‘Newark Novices’, the team includes parts supervisor, Jon Hind; workshop controller, Lewis Cawthorne; and technicians, Mark White, Ian Spafford and Daniel Russel.
