The resistance against colonialism, global imperialism, and Zionism was a significant concern for leaders of the Third World during the peak of India’s national freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi, as a leader of the Indian National Congress and a staunch anti-imperialist, was deeply critical of colonial interventions in the Arab world, including the British support for political Zionism in Palestine.

Hamas, or according to its full name, “Islamic Resistance Movement”, is a Palestinian political-national organization with a military wing of a conservative Islamic nature and orientation. Its purpose is to resist the Israeli occupation, maintain resistance, and fight for the creation of an independent Palestinian state. It was officially established on December 10th, 1987, with the Gaza City at the Gaza Strip headquarters. What is Gaza?

International law is fighting for relevance. The outcome of this fight is likely to change the entire global political dynamics, which were shaped by World War II and sustained through the selective interpretation of the law by dominant countries. In principle, international law should have always been relevant, if not paramount, in governing the relationships between all countries, large and small, to resolve conflicts before they turn into outright wars.
