Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels capped off his historic rookie season by taking home Rookie of the Year honors from New Orleans on Thursday night. Daniels became the fifth player in Commanders franchise history to win the award and the fourth offensive player to do so. He’s also the second quarterback in franchise history to earn the honor.

Paul Reps was a Zen practitioner and a Haiku poet who lived in Japan for many years during the Vietnam War. He was in Korea to visit a Zen temple, and the visa office told him that because of a war that no visas were being issued. He sat down with his tea and wrote a Haiku that changed the official's mind: "Sipping a cup of tea I stop the war." In one version of this Haiku he said he "stopped the war." In Zen the understanding is that all wars start with the ones we have raging within.
