Two boys were robbed of an electric scooter (Image: File pic) Two boys were left "shaken" after a tea-time robbery saw the pair attacked by a gang of older boys and their electric scooter stolen. Police say the 11 and 12-year-old friends were left shaken after the incident which happened on the “Black Path” between Caithness Road and Flatts Lane in Normanby.

Fire crews and police flooded Lilburne Crescent, in Newton Aycliffe, on Wednesday night after a blaze broke out at a new-build type property. Pictures taken at the scene on Thursday morning show shattered windows and smoke damage to the downstairs of the home.
