Maybe you heard. The papacy elected a pope today. We don’t know what he will be like yet, but here are some details about the voting process. First, the voting process was over rather quickly. The papal conclave to elect a pope is all about grandeur. It is a gorgeous display of solemn rites to fascinate the senses of people and overwhelm the voice of reason. And the whole world was watching and wondering (Revelation 13:3). Only 133 cardinals could vote in this election (electors).

Attorney and religious liberty expert Jonathan Zirkle sits down with Dr. Roger Seheult, a source of medical information during the pandemic. Together they discuss Covid and the SDA church, and ask the question “What can both sides of the recent controversies agree upon?” I appreciate both of these men for being willing to discuss this controversial issue in light of the wider ramifications of the gospel and liberty of conscience.

The UK Supreme Court ruled last week that women exist. The Court clarified that “sex” in the Equality Act 2010 means biological sex, either male or female. The shocking ruling by two female justices (Rose and Simler) and one man (Hodge), concluded that men do not become women by putting on dresses and getting a faux government document certifying that they’re female, now. These three UK justices confirmed “that sex has its biological meaning.”  Yep, common sense folks have known this for millennia.

On May 3rd, Pastor Ron Kelly will be speaking at the Hamilton, OH Seventh-day Adventist Church. Come prepared for a special Sabbath of spiritual food accompanied by an awesome potluck. The pastor of Hamilton Church is Vince Waln, a man I had the privilege of serving with on the Ohio Executive Committee for nine years. Through those years, I came to appreciate Vince’s financial expertise and commitment to the Adventist Message.

Among the many things discussed at the Seventh-day Adventist Spring Meeting yesterday, were ministries in the church. This video begins at this discussion: Ted Wilson introduced the topic and called on Mark Finley and Mike Ryan to address it. Finley says that supportive ministries have their root in Scripture and quoted 1 Corinthians chapter 12, where it says the body is made up of hands and eyes and many parts.

There are many causes for divorce. All of them boil down to a person believing they married the wrong person. You didn't marry the wrong person, you brought unresolved spiritual issues into the marriage, and those issues became barriers after the honeymoon wore off.
