Texas anglers, get ready to head to your Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes as catfish season kicks off this weekend. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will be restocking local lakes with catfish beginning Friday, April 11. According to a press release, officials will stock 18 Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes located across the Lone Star State every two weeks through the end of October.

West Texas is getting slammed with winter weather this weekend, with the Panhandle expected to receive up to four inches of snow by the end of Saturday night. A winter storm warning and winter weather advisory are in effect for parts of the far southern Texas Panhandle and northern South Plains through 1 a.m. on Sunday. The National Weather Service estimates snow accumulations up to four inches across the Caprock Escarpment and forecasts wind gusts up to 45 mph.

Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating cereal company Kellogg’s for potentially violating Texas consumer protection laws by misrepresenting product ingredients. Paxton’s office announced the ongoing investigation Saturday. According to the press release, WK Kellogg Co. – commonly known as Kellogg’s – previously claimed it was removing artificial food dyes and the preservative BHT from its products but has not followed through with the ingredient change.
