Gateway Church announced on Sunday a new senior pastor to lead the multi-campus church, replacing Robert Morris, who stepped down last June. Daniel Floyd and his wife, Tammie, are the founding pastors of Lifepoint Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. They will take on their new role at the Southlake-based church in August. Staff members were told about the announcement decision early Sunday morning, and a video from the church's eldership team was played at each of the nine campuses.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Michigan woman in connection with a Silver Alert for a missing 76-year-old woman, authorities said. Eva Haron is accused of interfering with the rights of a guardian by knowingly removing May Taube from the Willow Bend Assisted Living & Memory Care Center, according to Denton police. Taube was last seen around 5 p.m. Monday after police were notified that someone other than her legal guardian had taken her from the facility without consent.

Three Johnson County firefighters have been injured after a roof collapsed on top of them during a house fire Wednesday near Alvarado. All three were being taken to the hospital, but their injuries were not serious, Johnson County Emergency Manager Jamie Moore said. The call came in just after 2:30 p.m. on County Road 810 just south of County Road 707 northwest of Alvarado. Moore said other firefighters were able to help them get out quickly and no one was inside the home at the time.
