The first time I met Michael Mosley was at a BBC summer party. The very first Horizon documentary I presented had just aired, which qualified me for an invite. I knew literally no one at the party, particularly as many of the attendees were household names, so I was just a little star-struck and intimidated, and ended up quietly people-watching at the bar while nursing a drink.
