CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — The Mega Millions jackpot just got bigger. While no one took home the $619 million jackpot in the Dec. 10 drawing, four people matched the five white balls for the game's second-tier prize. Someone in Florida won $5 million. The ticket included the optional Megaplier, which was 5x on Tuesday night. The other three second-tier prizes were won in California (2) and Maryland (1). The jackpot for Friday, Dec. 13, is up to $670 million, edging closer to the $1 billion mark.

BRADENTON, Fla. — The Bradenton Police Department needs help identifying two porch pirates who were seen stealing several packages on November 29. Police said around 2:45 p.m., the duo stole several Amazon packages in the Glen Creek community. The male suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and glasses. The female wore a long-sleeve white shirt, black gym shorts, a camouflage face covering, and yellow Crocs. She was also wearing an ankle monitor on her right leg.

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Manatee County man who was wanted for shooting multiple people the day after Thanksgiving was arrested in Georgia on Sunday morning. The Manatee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said that Ronnie D. Morton III, 23, was arrested on Dec. 8 by the Savannah Police Department after a detective learned that he was traveling on an Amtrak train from Florida to North Carolina. Morton's cell phone pinged on railroad tracks north of Jacksonville on Dec. 7 as he headed into Georgia.
