    A new-look Hills United team have started the 2025 League One Football Women’s competition in a roaring style, scoring 13 goals in their opening three matches while topping both the league and club championship tables. The Hills women are one of the strongest teams in the competition, and some of their new signings, Jess Wootton, Gemma Woolley, Elin Rosenberg Cemazar and goalkeeper Nicola Simmons, have already made their presence felt.

    The Hills Bulls U16 girls have cemented their reputation as the undisputed champions of Oztag in NSW for the second successive year. The girls were outstanding in their title defence at Coffs Harbour last weekend, running in a staggering 80 tries in nine matches, while conceding a mere three. Their phenomenal performance, under astute coach Mick Withers, sets the bar for the championships.

    Eastwood Rugby, one of Sydney’s most successful premier rugby clubs, are using training facilities at a Hills school for valuable pre-season training. They have been training at Hills Grammar, Kenthurst, since October last year in preparation for the season which kicks off on April 5. According to Eastwood Rugby’s GM Robert Frost, they has been making the most of the outstanding facilities at the Hills Grammar as they bid for the blue riband of NSW rugby, the Shute Shield.

    Five Scouts from The Hills are among the first King’s Scouts in 73 years, following the renaming of the Queen’s Scout Award in September 2024 (backdated to May). The prestigious peak award for Venturer Scouts aged 14-17 was renamed after His Majesty King Charles III confirmed his patronage of the Scout Association of Australia.
