The Hills Bulls took a page from the past to honour one of one of their much loved heroes, Paul ‘Griffo’ Griffin, as they launched their ‘Our Club, Our Legacy’ campaign last Sunday. Griffin, tragically killed last year, will be a permanent part of the Baulkham Hills club with the spanking new gym named after him.

The Hills Bulls, one of the most successful rugby league clubs in The Hills District, is launching Our Club, Our Legacy campaign, to raise $350,000 for their new clubhouse in Baulkham Hills. The official launch is on Sunday, April 13, at their Crestwood Oval headquarters, at 2pm. The club expansion includes a level 1 clubhouse and a multi-purpose function room which will be a valued asset for the Bulls for many years to come.

Nickolas Alfaro, Kade Baccus and Thomas Cutuk, the highlyregarded footballers with connections to The Hills and Hawkesbury, will represent Australia at the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia. Australia has been drawn into Group B and will face Vietnam (April 4), United Arab Emirates ( April 7) and Japan (April 10), with the top eight teams in the competition qualifying for the FIFA U-17 World Cup being hosted by Qatar in November 2025.

The Parramatta District Rugby League Referees Association is welcoming new referees, saying it’s a wonderful opportunity for girls and boys to start a career in officiating and make some extra pocket money. The PDRLRA provides trained, accredited referees for matches across the Parramatta Junior League, including the Hills District and The Hawkesbury.

The Hills Bulls overcame a 16-point half-time deficit to charge to an exciting 30-28 victory over Glebe Dirty Reds in the opening round of the Sydney Shield rugby league campaign last Sunday. Man of the moment Edmond Matta converted all five tries for the Bulls, with the last kick in the 71st minute sealing the hard-fought win. Tom Watson planted the equalising try in the 70th minute, his second of the match, after the Bulls played catch up for all but the final 10 minutes.
