A foul-mouthed hotel guest in Kingston is facing a flock of weapon and drug charges after an investigation into threats directed at staff led police to search his room where they discovered fentanyl and other drugs stuffed inside a whole rotisserie chicken. Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a hotel in the city Wednesday evening to investigate a report of a man “uttering threats” toward staff.

A pedestrian is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries when a car crashed through a bus shelter after a collision with two other vehicles. Durham Police said a white Chevrolet Cruze was travelling westbound on Kingston Road near Brock Road at about 2:30 p.m. when it collided with two other westbound vehicles, sending the car off the road and into the bus shelter and into the path of the two pedestrians. The car then pinballed and back onto the road, where it struck a third vehicle.

Two people have been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a vehicle smashed through a bus shelter in Pickering Wednesday afternoon. Durham Police did not say if the victims were inside the bus shelter or in the vehicle when the crash occurred. It is also unclear if there were other injuries but Air Ornge was reported to be at the scene. Kingston Road between Brock Road and Valleyfarm Road has been shut down while police investigate.
