    The city of North Bend has put out a request for proposal, soliciting bids for future policing services within the city. North Bend put out the request for proposal on March 14, “seeking proposals from qualified entities to provide local policing services,” according to the request for proposal document. Interested parties have until 5 p.m. March 31 to submit a written proposal and will be required to give a presentation to North Bend City Council at a work study April 8.

    March 22Duvall Holi Celebration, 1-4 p.m.: The city of Duvall is hosting its first celebration of Holi, a Hindu festival known as the Festival of Colors. The afternoon at Depot Park will include music, dance, cultural performances, food and play with color. All are welcome. Daddy-daughter disco dance, 6-8 p.m.: Si View Metro Parks is hosting a daddy-daughter disco fever dance at the Si View Park Community Center. The evening will include a live DJ, disco decor, dancing, food and a photobooth.

    The creators behind North Bend Art & Industry are now creating a multi-disciplinary maker space unlike anything the Snoqualmie Valley has seen. Art & Industry, a 501(c)(3) founded in 2018, has moved into and is renovating its new Center for Creativity at 1533 Bendigo Blvd. N. The 13-person board of directors hopes to provide access to as many arts as possible, from writing to woodworking, sewing and cooking.

    A new Snoqualmie organization has a goal of fostering well-rounded living by providing mental, physical and spiritual care — to name a few. The Snoqualmie Valley Healing Center had a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 12 at its new home in downtown Snoqualmie. Chaplain Patti Yetneberk and five other board members operate the Snoqualmie Valley Healing Center out of a rental house on SE Park Street.
